PLANTATIONS & FARMS

CentroFarmsTM Coffee Estate Plantation

Located in various villages of Dalat, a crispy cool city in the mountainous highland of Vietnam, our shade-grown arabica coffee trees grow under a canopy of pine, hard wood and fruit trees. This canopy gives birds, honey bees, and other native animals and insect species, a safe habitat. Honey bees and birds, in turn, are our silent workers — pollinating our plants and coffee trees while forming a natural line of defense against pests and diseases.

Not only shaded coffee is ecologically friendly, it also tastes better than “sun-baked coffee,” where high-yielding coffee varieties grown industrially under no shade with high applications of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Shade-grown coffee fruits mature slowly, allowing the natural sugars in the coffee beans to fully develop, creating a rich, intense flavor.

CentroFarmsTM Estate Plantation sits at an average altitude of 1,500 meters, creating perfect growing conditions for the arabica coffee plants. The higher altitude produces a denser, less porous bean with less moisture and more flavors.

At CentroFarmsTM Estate Plantation, we adhere to strict quality standards. We selectively hand-pick our coffee when the coffee cherries are red and ripe. Next, the coffee cherry is pulped to remove the outer shell, carefully fermented which gives the coffee its characteristic bright, clear flavor, and thoroughly washed in clean water. The coffee is then naturally sun-dried on large decks and raked regularly to give even drying.

Shade-grown at high altitude, bird-friendly cultivation, and adherence to strict quality processing standards and blended with selected quality beans from the high plateau of Dalat make our CentroFarmsTM an extremely unique and extra special coffee of Vietnam.

Our goal is to cultivate quality coffee, while protecting and sustaining the ecosystem surrounding our coffee trees.
